In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation. Psalm 5:3

Who stole my recipe?

Don't you just love it when life hands you a bowl of lemons and your suppose to make lemonade from it? ..... except, you cant find your lemonade recipe?

Well, that's what happened to me two days ago. I got the word from my boss that I was being layed off. Next Monday will be my last day. I know it was difficult for my boss to tell me this bad news, he tried to let me down easy. I have been a faithful employee for 15 years. It all seems so surreal, here I am 56 years of age, with a head of grey hair, and in the blink of an eye my little comfy corner of the world came tumbling down! It's not suppose to be this way! I was planning on retiring in a few years. I was suppose to be the one telling them when my last day would be!

Needless to say, I went into the bathroom and cried.

My husband was very sweet and supportive when he heard the news. He said all the right things that a girl wants to hear. ....(like, It will be OK, we will be fine, don't worry about anything, etc.)

But still I worry! God tells me to cast all my cares on Him because he cares for me. I want to do this, but it is difficult!
I need to trust Him, that he has a plan and a purpose for me. I hope and pray that I do not run ahead of him! I need to be still.

......Lord, please help me to be still.
